Cherry Blossom Session in Washington, DC

Caitlyn and Jamie traveled all the way from New York to catch the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin in DC! It was so nice to meet them as they prepare for their 2024 wedding at DAR Constitution Hall. We met for their engagement session right before the cherry blossoms peaked, which means we actually had more of the Tidal Basin to ourselves. Tips for seeing the cherry blossoms

Go at sunrise! During peak bloom, you will still see crowds, but it is a little more manageable than golden hour. If you can go on a weekday morning, it's even better! I also recommend taking an Uber or finding a spot in a garage ahead of time using SpotHero. There is very little parking near the Tidal Basin, and many roads are closed off for the festival!
