Romantic Spring Bridal Editorial
During the slower, colder months, I love to keep my creativity flowing. This year, I was determined to create a bridal editorial showcasing everything I love about spring. I'm so lucky to have been able to work with some incredibly talented vendors on this passion project.

The Planning
Inspired by the timeless romance of Paris in the spring, this bridal editorial features pastel blooms with bright bursts of color, and luxury wedding gowns with delicate floral detailing that evokes soft femininity. Created in a natural light studio, the design and execution of this editorial, at its core, illustrates the grace and simplicity of Parisian style.
This editorial features blush and pastel colors, with bursts of bright pink and red to create a unique, whimsical look. The design is accented with gold.

The Studio
The Virginia Creative Collective is a natural light studio located in Staunton, Virginia. Once an escape room, this new studio has been renovated in the last year by its cofounders, Jo Mahaney and Amanda Shrader. The studio is comprised of several spaces for creatives to use, including its Grand Hall. The Grand Hall, as seen in this romantic bridal editorial, features two fireplaces, white walls, light grey flooring and large windows.
The Fashion
Brides from across the country flock to Ava Laurenne Bride, a bridal boutique housed in a historic bank in downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia. One of this bridal boutique's signature experiences is naming each of their wedding gowns. Two gowns from Ava Laurenne Bride were modeled in this editorial: Avril and Remi.
Avril, a strapless gown, embodies Parisian spring in its delicate beading and floral details. Remi's neckline is reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn, and its floral overlay is soft femininity personified. Both gowns have a slit in the skirt.
The Details
The editorial is centered around the bridal bouquet, which was designed with timeless blush and white blooms at its center, and is accented by pops of bright colors. The bouquet combines fresh florals with dried greenery, painted red. A bouquet is a bride's most prominent accessory, and is a personal expression of each bride's unique style. This particular bouquet represents my love of timeless Parisian style, while incorporating surprising elements in its accent colors.
In discussing the vision for this editorial, floral designer Hannah Keyton of Centerpiece Studio perfectly encapsulated the overall style: "modern romantic," "whimsical pastels," and "ruffled romance." These key phrases are a perfect starting point for any couples who are looking for that timeless, yet unique wedding design.
