Kelsey and Charlie wed on Saturday at the Willard Intercontinental in DC, and I’m not even sure where to start. This couple is so kind and so sweet, and the whole day felt centered around family. Their loved ones made the day memorable and joyful, including those who couldn’t attend (a cardboard cutout of Grandma rarely left the dance floor). Their best man and maid of honor should really offer a masterclass on writing toasts, and they had the whole room cracking up. From their first look to the last song, Kelsey and Charlie remained side by side and soaked in all the love surrounding them.
The couple leaned into the Willard Hotel's iconic decor, including the newly renovated Peacock Alley, accenting with white and blue flowers and details.
The Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington, DC has quickly become one of my favorite DC venues. The hotel itself feels so grand with its three luxurious ballrooms, each with its own unique aesthetic. The outside of the hotel features beautiful blue awnings and fountains, allowing for portrait opportunities. Across the street, the WWI Memorial and Freedom Plaza provide quintessential DC views, like the Capitol Building.
During the reception, the best man and maid of honor kept the crowd laughing with their hilarious toasts, and then Kelsey changed into her reception outfit so that the couple could dance the night away. I hope you enjoy these peeks at this classic Willard Intercontinental Hotel wedding in Washington, DC!
