Library of Congress and Meadowlark Engagement Session | DC Engagement Session | DC Wedding Photographer

Updated: Apr 9

I'm always happy to get up at 4:30am for DC engagement sessions! Ann and Hun Ki met me bright and early at the Library of Congress, where we walked around Capitol Hill to catch the gorgeous morning light. The Library of Congress is such a timeless session location, with its classic architecture and sweeping staircases.

From there, we traveled to Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna. With the impending construction happening to the Tidal Basin later this year, Meadowlark on a weekday proved to be a perfect alternative for cherry blossoms!

I love it when couples incorporate outfit changes into their sessions.  Ann wore a beautiful traditional Taiwanese gown for the first part of the morning, which popped so beautifully against the monuments, and then changed into a white skirt and blazer. Both Ann and Hun Ki wore traditional Korean hanbok to Meadowlark, where we were able to visit the Korean Bell Garden.

I can't wait to see this sweet couple again in October for their wedding at Great Marsh Estate!
