Spring Engagement Photos in Richmond | Richmond Engagement Session | Virginia & DC Wedding Photographer

I met with K & J on a cloudy day in Richmond, Virginia for their spring engagement session, and it was a clear example of why an overcast day can be beautiful. On the day of their session, it started pouring down rain mid-afternoon, and I was worried that when the time came to meet up, that storm would have made its way to us. Luckily, there were only a few sprinkles of rain!

K & J wanted to have their engagement session in Richmond, Virginia because it is such a sentimental place to them. We started at one of their favorite spots, Garnett's, and took some photos outside. From there, we walked to a park across the street, and then into the Fan District, which was lined with cute row houses.

As the sun went down, we hopped in our cars to make our way to the Virginia State Capitol building. The couple changed into a more formal look, and since we had our session on a Friday, the Capitol area was mostly empty!

I am so excited to see this sweet couple again next year for their wedding at Mankin Mansion in Richmond!
